The project is located in Shanghai Hongqiao New Business District. It is on a strip of land on the east municipal interface of the street corner of Shenhong Road and Ninghong Road to the street corner of Shenhong Road and Shengui Road. The plot occupies an important position in the boundary transition region between municipal road and the business park. The landscape design hopes to create the memory point of the brand image of Xuhui while optimizing the block.

Following the design concept of architecture and landscape integration, the landscape design continues the architectural design and Xuhui's own understanding of Fujian merchants culture. The heavy and solemn architectural form conveys the culture and image of the enterprise. The cantilever and transparent glass of the building reveal an architectural aesthetics as light as clouds, and the staggered units make the building have the dual character of "heavy" and "light". The landscape adopts the same staggered design technique and applies it to landscape composition and various details in order to optimize the existing dull office atmosphere and create a light and comfortable commercial office environment.

The architectural staggered technique is used in the detail construction of the landscape, so as to produce various scattered spaces and better integrate the office and commercial functions such as recreation and negotiation. Lots of public facilities and commercial spaces make the building landscape not only exist as an efficient headquarters, but also represent the public image of a large enterprise in a growing city.

Through the continuation of the texture of the cherry avenue planned by the municipal government and the combination of lawn and modern approach of the broken flower bed, the landscape design achieves a clean and rhythmic texture of lines. Important node ornament, corporate culture sculpture and waterscape are interspersed and combined in order to achieve the combination effect of office space and public activity space.

At the node of the landscape end point, the design adopts a unified approach to create an integrated design of waterscape and flower bed. As the starting point of the entire office space, the massive falling water landscape is highly indicative. The integration of the falling water landscape with ecological greening and framework makes the whole space more abundant. The three cherry trees form a visual focus, implying the enterprise's high-spirited vitality.

At the landscape node next to the headquarters building, French contemporary art master Fabien Merelle's five-metre-high Pentateuque is housed there. The sculpture, made of resin and fiberglass, shows a man stooping down to carry an elephant, struggling to balance the load on his back. The combination of waterscape sculpture and public activity space demonstrates the company's grand vision and due responsibility in social, cultural and professional fields.

The directional design of the road guides the crowd outside in the municipal space to flow into the commercial space, forms a cohesive space, brings pedestrian volume for the commercial form, and enriches the landscape atmosphere of the whole office space.

The overall landscape design provides flexible public space and vibrant retail space for the offices and business through a modern approach of folding lines. For example, commercial outdoor stalls and retail stores can give life to the public space every day, and occasional irregular activities can make the public space full of vitality.

As a unique landscape type, commercial office landscape has certain requirements on the interpretation of the cultural connotation and extension of architecture and enterprise. Based on the main building image of Xuhui Center and Xuhui's own understanding of Fujian merchants culture, the design process forms and creates the prototype of the latest space concept for the future office, and the commercial office environment with ecological, scientific, leisure, artistic and cultural memory points is created with the sincere cooperation of the team members.
